Neurofeedback (EEG Biofeedback)

Neurofeedback, also called EEG Biofeedback, is a state-of-the-art, non-invasive, drugless method for teaching the brain to function in a more balanced and healthful way. The goal of Neurofeedback is to improve the brain’s ability to self-regulate, maintain flexibility, and smoothly shift between states of relaxation and arousal.

To further explain, we know a healthy brain easily switches between Delta, Theta, Alpha and Beta brain speeds during the normal course of the day. When a brain has abnormal patterns, or there is dysregulation between the two hemispheres of the brain, unwanted symptoms and behaviors can occur.

Your brain is neuroplastic, which means it can change. Neurofeedback is essentially exercises for the brain that encourage this change to happen. Our technology allows us to monitor your brainwave activity and then give your brain feedback to help it learn. This feedback will be in the form of a video, movie, or sound that lets your brain know when it’s making improvements. By doing these exercises, your brain will learn to regulate its abnormal brainwave patterns. Ultimately, as brainwave patterns improve, you’ll have overall greater brain performance, including better control of your emotions  and attention span.

Dynamic Balance specializes in ADHD, Anxiety, Stress, PTSD, Insomnia, Misophonia, Concussions, and Memory Challenges.

About Michelle

Michelle has spent nearly 30 years helping individuals heal by integrating Eastern and Western practices to address physical, energetic, and neurological conditions. Beginning her career in therapeutic exercise with a focus on neuromuscular disorders, she soon recognized the interconnected impact of stress on the body, brain, and emotional well-being. This insight led her to incorporate soft tissue therapy, Polarity Therapy, and Neurofeedback into her practice, offering a functional, holistic, and complimentary approach to healing. Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Psychology at Harvard University Extension School, Michelle is committed to developing programs that bridge alternative and conventional healing methods for stress-related challenges.
